Our journey began with a simple belief: Recreational boating goes hand in hand with respect for the sea. Less oil pollution, fewer emissions into the air, and less noise.

There are many areas for improvement, and TEMO is committed to developing products that are quieter to the ear and even more so below the surface. Our goal is to turn down the volume on all motors so that they simply blend into the natural murmur of the ocean, preserving the life that thrives there.

On the water, everyone knows that an electric motor is quieter than a combustion engine. But what about below the surface? Are the effects the same? And how does it really affect marine wildlife? It’s hard to find accurate answers to these questions.

So at TEMO, we sought to learn more and better understand the noise emissions generated by outboards—both combustion and electric.

What if we crossed the Atlantic... by swimming? That's the crazy but incredibly inspiring challenge that Chloé and Matthieu, the faces behind the Swim for Change project, have set themselves.

When electrical innovation meets a committed sailor, the result is a meaningful collaboration. TEMO France has teamed up with skipper Marc Guillemot, an iconic figure in responsible sailing, to equip the tender of his MG5 catamaran with a TEMO·1000 electric motor.
