Minimalist architecture
The OUTPOD™ features a streamlined mechanical design that lightens the transom and makes life on board effortless. Fully external and quickly detachable, it can be removed in seconds for storage or maintenance. Its height-adjustable sliding mast lets you lift the motor as soon as the sails take over, eliminating drag and preventing corrosion at anchor. On top of that, a 180° rotating shaft ensures precise maneuvering and efficient hydro-generation.
Quick installation
Lightweight and easy to handle, the OUTPOD™ stands out for its rapid installation. Thanks to its external sliding rail, it can be mounted or removed in just a few minutes—no complex tools required—for effortless storage or maintenance. Unlike a conventional pod, it requires no hull drilling, making it an ideal solution for small sailboats with a narrow transom or a short swim platform. This plug-and-play approach preserves the boat’s integrity while providing high-performance propulsion that is easily accessible and always ready to sail.
Customizable range
The OUTPOD™ combines the precise handling of a 48V pod (remote control, display screen, and custom-configured battery pack) with the ease of installation of an outboard. Its remote architecture intelligently distributes weight between the transom and the rest of the boat, while protecting the battery and wiring from UV, water, and salt air to ensure reliability and longevity.
The system offers customizable range through two battery options: the TEMO 2.3 kWh cassette battery with auto-connect racks, or a stationary battery in partnership with Powertech. The motor can then be lifted horizontally or rotated 180°, not only eliminating drag but also optimizing hydro-generation depending on sailing conditions.
High-performing
Beneath this ingenious design lies robust, high-performance technology: the motor unit is engineered to resist overheating and premature wear, delivering optimal power with a static thrust of up to 67 kg (equivalent to 5 HP). Sealed bearings ensure minimal maintenance, while the power cable, designed for prolonged immersion, guarantees high reliability. The direct-drive transmission connects the motor to the propeller without losses or a gearbox, maximizing efficiency. Its sliding mast allows the motor unit to be easily lifted, preventing corrosion when in use.

Unlike a pod, the OUTPOD™ is not permanently submerged, which reduces the risk of fouling and electrolysis and makes maintenance easier.
It can be installed while afloat, with no need to drill below the waterline. Its liftable position eliminates drag under sail and allows you to dry out, beach, or haul the boat onto a trailer without stress. Lightweight, removable, and easy to store during a regatta or wintering, it is highly maneuverable thanks to its precise rotation, which also enables efficient hydrogeneration.
No need for a folding propeller either (minimum €800).
Unlike an outboard motor, the OUTPOD™ protects the battery and cables inside the hull while keeping the control unit in the cockpit.
Can be operated from the cockpit thanks to remote controls;
Can be lifted from the cockpit using a halyard system;
Sensitive components are protected from the elements (UV, salt, water) since the battery and electronics are inside the boat;
Less weight at the stern of the sailboat (better for balance and performance): 8 kg versus 20 kg for an outboard;
No more risk of theft, as the motor can be removed very easily, and the most expensive parts remain inside the boat;
No need for a motor bracket (approx. €200), since the vertical lifting system does not require an offset structure to tilt the motor;
Allows hydrogeneration;
Can be moved very easily inside the boat to optimize weight distribution during a regatta and to keep it protected when not in use;

We select high-quality components to ensure maximum durability and ease of repair. No maintenance is required until the motor has been used for 1,500 hours.
The OUTPOD™ system also offers the advantage of not having to remain submerged. Thanks to its sliding mast, the motor unit can be raised out of the water, and its external installation on the boat makes it very easy to remove for rinsing with fresh water or winter storage.
