Vannes, May 28, 2025 - TEMO, the French pioneer of electric propulsion for boats, is proud to announce its selection as winner of the i-Nov competition as part of the France 2030 plan. This distinction crowns six years of research, industrial production and international development, driven by a strong vision: to offer a sustainable, high-performance and affordable alternative to combustion engines.

Thanks to this strategically important public support, TEMO is taking a new step in the development of its range of electric motors. The aim: to decarbonize even more boats, while preserving the company's DNA and the excellence of its French know-how.

Engines built to last and designed with the environment in mind

The funds allocated by France 2030 will enable TEMO to accelerate innovation around its engines, by strengthening its technological pillars:

  • Energy efficiency and frugality: ever more efficient electrical machines combined with an ultra-optimized propulsion chain
  • Sturdiness and durability: innovative sealing systems for superior long-term performance, even under extreme conditions of use. .
  • Total reparability: every component is replaceable, extending motor life and limiting environmental impact at end-of-life.
  • Energy versatility: load optimization by all available means (solar, shore, regeneration, wind).
  • Intelligent electronics and BMS, combined with high-performance modular batteries, for customized charge/discharge scenarios and reduced on-board lithium consumption.
  • Respect for the marine ecosystem: constant reduction in vibro-acoustic signature to limit impact on flora and fauna.
  • And still zero emissions in use.

Key recognition for the French boating industry

"Thank you to France 2030, ADEME and the Prime Minister for this essential recognition, which gives a real boost to our mission to decarbonize marine uses," says Alexandre Seux, founder and CEO of TEMO. "We owe this success to the entire TEMO team, committed, inventive and passionate, as well as to our partners and users who have supported us from day one."

This victory confirms TEMO's position as a leader in sustainable marine propulsion, and marks a turning point for an entire industry in full transition.
